A Hunch 'bout Lunch.
Let me start off by saying how when it comes to food, I'm pretty repetitive. So I would go to the same few places for lunch basically everyday, almost like alternating between food canteens.
So when Vey invited me to this event, I was pleasantly surprised because I guess I would be trying something out of my norm.
it's not going to burn a hole in your pocket. Starting from RM20, you're gonna get a pretty extensive and impressive lunch. YUM. #treatyourself
I started it off with this killer Mango Romarita,
"An adventurous island mixes of blended mango and tropical fruits, orange juice, lime juice and all the hubba hubba.." (no alcohol)
I got it because it just look spectacular, made me feel kinda important because it is bigger than my face and 10 times cooler than a barley Peng.
What came next was an array of delicious food...
Note: All the lunch deals come with a drink and a soup. A bang for your buck!
Attention attention! To all the salad lovers, this is for you. Love how they have a balance of veggies, with a good amount of meat. Don't really want to forsake either one. The crunch from the popiah skin made it a lot more fun to eat too.
We forgot to add the dressing and tbh it tasted great with it without. Everyone is increasingly conscious about health, so this is good choice.
My eye is drawn to the pasta section on any and every menu. Shrimps definitely does pull at my heartstrings too. I do feel like lacked a little salt, but you have hands. Just shake it in.
There will be times where people just need a good hearty burger. So this is where this fella comes in. I'm on a platonic relationship with burgers, don't hate em but not the biggest fan.
Still, the patty was juicy and full of flavour.
So no complains.
Most of us dug straight into this. I have a fear of dry chicken and was worried this might be that, but it wasn't. The roasted veggie was really fragrant and the mash had enough texture in it to taste like actual potato.
All the dishes are a really good size, and I love how the service crew helped me make my decisions when it came to my order. Overall, I had a really good lunch.
Better than what I expected, especially because of the pricing.
Really love how all the cafes and restaurants in Kuching are really
up-ing their game, so proud so proud.
I'll be back,
hope to see you there!
p/s: I have a brunch blog that is up and coming. So stay tuned :)
